To avoid having the message "File access is denied. You do not have the
permission required to access the file D:\Email\archive.pst." being
displayed in Outlook 2007,
Please follow the following steps and I am assuming that you are using
Microsoft Vista: -
1) open the folder where your PST is located.
2) Right Click on your PST file (or files which you want Outlook 2007
to open).
3) Select Properties
4) Click on the Security Tab
5) Click on the Edit Button
6) Under the "Group or User Names" table, select Users.
7) Under the Permission for SYSTEM table, ensure Full Control is
checked.
Now, try to execute Outlook 2007 and import your PST file. I am sure
you would not have any more problems.
