Post subject: Option not available... Add to elertz Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>vista>mail (more info?)
I have downloaded this "new" web-email, so could try to send e-mail from a
web site automatically. This process have been ver cumbersum and time
consuming, not at all user friendly. To this end, I am capable of following
directions and when I first attempted to "fix" the spell check in the Windows
Mail I was a bit taken back. To my surprize I was not able to find the
"OPTIONS" button in the Tools pulldown menu. The fix I keep reading about is
not there. I had not taken the time to read the hundreds of postings about
this issue, so I decided to post my own question.
Here it is: "How do you fix the spell check Language issue when the OPTIONS
pulldown button, under TOOLS, is not there?"

What do you mean by ' "new" web-email' ? Windows Mail cannot access webmail
accounts.
If you don't see Tools - Options, then you're probably looking at an open
message window, not the main Windows Mail window.

Are you sure you're asking about the right program? Windows Mail comes with
Vista, I've never seen it available for download, and it won't connect to
webmail.
If you mean the confusingly similarly named program Windows Live Mail, the
proper newsgroup to ask about it in is:
microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop
If you mean Windows Mail, make sure you click Tools in its main window, not
its new message window or some other program's window.

What I wrote is what was what exactly displayed on the web browser/e-mail
window. I wanted to contact a web site via e-mail from the web site. As I
hit the web-link to write an e-mail this program started "Windows mail". I
went through the steps to initialize the program, but then it would not
recognize hotmail, so I ended the effort. Later I wanted to see how I could
use the Windows mail, so I tried it again. That is when I went to the
Microsoft help and found this Blog. Since Windows mail does not recognize
hotmail, I will not need your services. Truthfully, if a Microsoft product
does not recognize a HIGHLY popular Microsoft-mail service then.... maybe
they should reconsider and make it user-friendly.
