The sidebar is in start/accessories. Rightclick the Windows Sidebar icon,
and 'run as administrator'. Then rightclicking the icon in the Notification
area has Properties, and you set the sidebar to open when Windows starts.

Hi LouMac,

Check to make sure that Windows Sidebar is set as enabled in this
tutorial.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

LouMac,

Since you do not have the sidebar.exe file in the "C:\Program
Files\Windows Sidebar" folder, then you should run a "sfc /scannow" (no
quotes) to see if it can restore that file for you. This tutorial will
show you how to.

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/66978-system-files-sfc-command.html

Afterwards, if you still have problems, see if this can help.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
