Have yesterday installed all August 2008 security updates (Vista Business
32-Bit with SP1). Since then, I have no network icon anymore in the taskbar.
Have rebooted the system, same problem.

Any advice? Thank you all in advance
Franz

Right-click taskbar, choose Properties. Go to 'Notification Area' tab.
Put a check in 'network'. If it's already checked, try
unchecking/rechecking it. You may need to uncheck, Apply, then check,
Apply.

Thank you for the solution! Have searched this option at the wrong place in
the network settings.
