I am computer illiterate! I moved from Ga to Nc and my computer was working
finr (desktop computer) Long story short, I had an Acer (1 1/2 yrs old) I
could not get my monitor to show my desktop so I had someone work on it. He
said I blew the "motherboard?" Anyway, purchased a new computer and had this
same person transfer my documents and all saved data to this new one.
However, I can't find my documents saved to the original desktop. Do they
transfer? If so, I can I find them?

I am frantic 'cause I am not computer savy!!!!

Thanks for any help....djgolfrn

1. Call the person who did the work and ask them exactly where they put the
backed up data.

2. Consider taking the computer to a different person, a professional
computer repair shop (not a BigStoreUSA/GeekSquad type of place) and having
them sort it out for you. I'm rather suspicious of the "blew out your
motherboard" advice.

Thanks. I do appreicate this advise. Blew the motherboard, I questioned
myself. Fortunately I have the original desktop computer and monitor because
I was a little "suspect."
