You're kidding, right? If I could magically see your computer from here I
wouldn't be doing tech support for a living. I'd Rule The World!

Seriously, look at the manual that came with your computer. If you don't
have a manual, go to the computer mftr.'s tech support site where there
will be a manual with explanations of the lights. Or call their tech
support people if the light wasn't always there.

If this is a generic/home-built computer, post a picture - a *clear* picture
- at one of the many free image-hosting websites and provide the link. Or
ask a knowledgeable friend, someone who is *really* knowledgeable and not
just saying s/he is.

Check your computer's manual.
It sounds like the battery charge & power indicator on my wife's Gateway
laptop.
Here's what the manual says...
http://support.gateway.com/s/Mobile/Q106/Blade/8511369.pdf

Battery charge:
LED blue - battery is fully charged
LED purple - battery is charging
LED blinking red - battery charge is very low
LED solid red - battery is malfunctioning

Power:
LED on - notebook is on
LED blinking - notebook is in standby mode
LED off - notebook is off
