I guess it could be. I was just wondering why you like the standby so
much?

This is my system. I have a Gigabyte Mobo. Intel core 2 quad. Windows
Vista Ultimate X64, EVGA 8800 gts super overclocked from the factory
with 640 onboard. I like this video card because it will run direct x 10
games.

I have 8 gig of DDR2 high speed ram. I have 1 terabyte's of hard drive
space. Its all in a Antec tower with a 750 watt power supply. I built
this system about 8 months ago and I have NEVER used standby at all and
my computer is never turned off.

It may be that the game that you are having a problem with does not
support the game pad you are using. It could be that I guess. It could
be that the game is not made for Vista and is not shutting off the
standby part of Vista.

Your guess is as good as mine on that one. I hope you find out.

Mike

I did not mean I configure my pc to go to standby mode after period of
time.

What I meant that Only the Monitor I configured to go to standby mode
after period of time and not all the PC.

You know leaving a monitor turn on all time not good specially when it
is LCD because that will affect the quality of colors after period of
time.

So I only configured the monitor to go to standby mode after period of
time.

I leave my PC 24 hours on and that's not a problem.

I hope you understand what I meant.

Thanks for replay.. :)

I understand now, Sorry about that. I just talked to my computer guru
friend of mine. We both have been building computers for about 20 years
now but he still knows more than I do.

He said he had never heard of that before also. He said that you will
have to look into the game settings to see if there is anything that
might help in there.

He said probably you will have to take the monitor off that standby
while you play the game and then change it back when you are done
playing the game. You might write the game company and ask them if they
have a fix for that problem.

They might already know about the problem and have a fix for that.

I hope you find the answer to this,

Mike

Hello Mike,

I noticed that only PES 2008 gave me that problem all other games works
fine like Assassi's Greed, GRID and NFS.

I'll write to Konami asking for fix.

Thank you again for your help.. :)

If I was having this problem thats what I would do. If there has been a
problem like this they would know about it or may have some Ideas on how
to fix your problem.

Good luck man. If you ever have any other problems with anything at all
just let me know. If I don't know the answer I surely can find it out.

Glad to help you,

Mike

I just noticed that you are running Vista Premium X64 version of
windows. I run windows Vista Ultimate X64 version. What is your computer
like, Like CPU, Ram, Video Card and stuff like that?

You should download a program called Belarc Advisor. Its a free program
and man does it tell you about your computer. You can even print out
what it finds out for you.

And when I say it tells you about your computer I mean it tells you
things you can't find out anyother way that I have found. Like I said it
is a free program.

I hope it helps you out in some way,

Mike

Right now I'm not at home

So I'll Write the configaration by myself..

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.0Ghz
Motherboard: ASUS P5QL-E
RAM: SuperTalent 2GB + 2GB = 4GB
Video Card: Sapphire 4870HD
HDD: 2x Westren Digital 160GB

That I think should be enough for Crysis I play it @30 FPS at Very high

You can't compare PES to Crysis

Thanks.. :)

Well, I think it is much easier for you to turn off your monitor when you're
leaving.

Anyway, I've got 2 Joystick and i notice that one works fine but the other
has the same problem just like yours. So i guess that Joysticks which
support XInput can meet your need, and DirectInput mode can't.
