How do I define the default size at which new Explorer windows open?

I am tired of having to resize my explorer window every time I open a folder
that I haven't opened before, eg. by typing a path into the start menu search
box and hitting enter or by choosing "view extracted files" after extracting
zip files.

I'm currently resorting to always opening explorer windows by hitting Win+E
or selecting "Computer" from the start menu and then navigating to the
required directory.

Hi ACDX,

I'm not sure for new windows, but Method Two in this tutorial may help
by helping Vista remember the folder view and size settings for a window
for when it was last closed. You can set this for a window, and use the
"Apply to Folders" option at the bottom to help with new windows.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
