When trying to copy files to a SD card, I have copied lots, as it is a 2GB
card, and then it generates this error...

Error 0x80070052 Files can not be found or do not exist.

This is NOT the case as they do exist on my Hard drive, but Vista will not
let me copy them over.

ANY help please.

Did you have any other applications open? If so, try to close all
applications first.

Similar problems might happen when you have some applications running which
use the files you want to copy or move.

Have you installed the recent Windows updates? This was one of them.

Update for Windows Vista (KB936825)

Installation date: ?13/?06/?2007 8:51 AM

Installation status: Successful

Update type: Recommended

Install this update to resolve issues with Secure Digital (SD) on computers
running Windows Vista. After you install this item, you may have to restart
your computer.

Kerry I am having the same problem with the SD card. I checked the update
KB936825 to be downloaded, and found out that it was automatically downloaded
on 6-15-07 but I am still having the problem trying to load pictures onto my
SD card. Any more suggestions to hopefully solve the problem. I can transfer
to my memory stick, but not the SD card. Thanks Rick

first off i was searching like all of you trying to figure this problem out, then i noticed something when i was checking my 2GB miniSD card out, it seys it is formated in FAT aka FAT16 if you know old school like myself (Im only 21 though lol) then you understand that computers used to only be FAT until they came out with FAT32 the difference being you were only able to have a partition of FAT allowing a maximum partition of 2GB so when they came out with hard drives larger then that it would make the hard disk look like 2 hard drives or more depending on how big ur hard disk was, then they came out with FAT32 which allows 32GB for each partition or larger on some OS platforms. Now windows XP and Vista run NTFS which goes to 100GB or larger sometimes.

MAKE SURE TO ADD ALL YOUR FILES TO A FOLDER ON COMPUTER AND BACKUP BEFORE FOLLOWING THIS PROCEDURE BECAUSE YOU "WILL" BE ERASING EVERYTHING ON THE CARD!!!

Now, you need to put ur SD card in ur memory reader, open "My Computer" which ever your card drive is, "Right-Click" on that drive then goto format, format the memory with FAT32. Now add your files and it should work smooth like glass...

I tryed formating the card as NTFS and that made the card not work at all in my Motorola SLVR but work fine in the computer so i dont recommend that.

Make some responses and show that it worked for you, if it didnt then i would certainly like to know...

Hope this helped you all out and feel free to contact me anytime for computer information if you would like, sirv101.DeleteThis@hotmail.com and if you enjoy Hip Hop/Rap/Hyphy music then check out my production www.myspace.com/REEL2REALent or my music at www.myspace.com/R2Rceo ENJOY!!!

Yes, this worked! Formated ntsf but the digital frame wouldn't read the disk, then formated in fat32 on a 1gb sd and all the files (about 690mb) copied over just fine. Thanks. I'd almost forgotten just plain ole Fat ever existed.
