Looks like I declared success too soon. The gpd changeout worked.
However, I found last night that HP Solution Center refuses to open
because it can't find the printer. Also, the printer has disappeared
from the computer's list of printers. I have no reason to believe the
gpd change caused this. If anyone has advice, I'd appreciate it.

Thank you for the quick reply, instructions and patch. Vista x32 and
HP Officejet 7410 are now producing two sided print without any coaxing.

Thanks for the patch - it works great. I can now properly print duplex
to my HP 7310 from Windows Vista.

OUTSTANDING Bob !!
Thanks for ending this obnoxious problem I've had for a year. HP has
been no help. They did have a little ditty on their site about using
another of their products drivers, but had no explanation for network
printers. Your fix with its good directions works on local, AND network
printers. HP has had a Vista driver for a year and a half, but have not
had an update even though the've known about this serious head-to-toe
duplexing problem.
Also, I must tell all of you that Bob answered my initial e-mail within
the hour of me sending it and I had fix in hand and working a few
minutes later!!

Thank you Bob, the patch you send me fix the problem of duplex printing
under Vista 64 bit (HP Deskjet 5652)
