What's up with the aversion to arrows? This isn't the Little Big Horn, you
know.

Colin,

After I found the light of QL,
don't like much on the desktop
plus the smaller blue ones; fit the Vista theme more than the default ones,
and I tried those too

I don't know if that question was specifically directed towards Jeff, but
IMO, the overall look just looks cleaner without the shortcut arrows. No
real aversion to them.

No, it wasn't aimed at anybody in particular. I use the desktop for
downloads and lots of download icons look the same as the installed shortcut
if the arrow is removed so I don't like to do it. Adobe Reader, AVG,
Diskeeper all are the same without the arrow. It's no trick to check before
I move the installers off to my installers folder on an external drive, but
I just like the arrows.

LOL! It's just that, well, they are rather large. Someone goes to the
trouble of creating a lovely icon, and then it gets a huge blob of an arrow
dumped on top of it. The smaller arrow is much better. No arrow even more
so Wink
