Back up / easy transfter problem

::I have been using PC on VISTA for over a year now, at one point i
erased programe file that corupted VISTA and i could not use scaner,
anyway only way of fixing this was to reinstal VISTA.::
::So i did back up all files from my pc to external drive + i did easy
transfter as well to external drive.::
::After reinstaling Windows, VISTA has kept old Windows in programe
file as Windows.old – all my documents are there, thats good news, bad
news is that easy transfer is asking for a passowrd and as much i can
recall i did not set one up or if i did its one of my standard one that
i use, but now luck.::
::Back up – restore file – no luck there as well as it simply dos not
pick up back up from external driver, it pick up drive but not internal
location of file.::
::I am stuck now as all my e mails are saved under archive file .pst
but i cant imporyt them to outlook as it keep asking me for
password....::
::I have copied pst file to desktop hoping it will help, no luck, i
have played with different setings still no luck.::
::Any advise, help would be very apprichiated as if i need to ge to my
office on mondey without e mails my boss my ask few qestions....::
