When I try to add a network printer from another Vista (build 5744) computer,
I come across two errors. The first and foremost popular error is "Windows
cannot to the printer. There is not enough memory to complete this operation.
Please close some programs and try again." This should not be a problem
because both systems that I have tried to do this on have a gig of memory.
This error occurs when I double-click on the printer when I am accessing it
through the network connections. The second error message that I get is when
I try to add a network printer, the traditional way, which is going into the
control panel or going through network and hitting "Add a Printer" and then
add a network printer and I click on the printer and I get the wonderful
"Windows Explorer is not responding" message then it restarts Windows
Explorer and were back to nothing being accomplished. The ironic part is that
I managed to get it to install the drive, one time and after it installed the
driver it poped up a error message (which unfortunately, I can not remember
off the top of my head) which then, terminated the setup but, I can change
settings on the printer and print a test page.

(quick note: both printers work fine locally)

If there is any help that can be given, it would greatly appreciated.

Is this one of the drivers shipping in Vista?

I'm having the exact problem. However, I'm using the Windows XP drivers for
my Samsung ML-1740. No Vista drivers are available, but the XP drivers work
fine on the host machine.

I tried both the windows drivers (which windows obtained those drivers when I
clicked on search the internet for available drivers) and I also have tried
the drivers that came with each printer.
