Post subject: malicious script detected with Norton while attempting uninstallaion of Comcast Internet software on Win XP Pro Archived from groups: alt>comp>virus (more info?)
Hey all. I have a friend who's trying to uninstall Comcast software
that came with her Comcast Cable Internet Service on her WinXP Pro PC.
She uses Norton AV (I forgot to ask which version, but I remember her
getting this PC in 2004), and while attempting to uninstall the Comcast
software that came with her Internet service, she says she keeps
receiving a popup from Norton saying that a malicious script is
detected. I was wondering if anyone else has any experience with this,
and if this is to be expected, or should we be concerned. I already
tried a google search and was unable to find any useful information.
