Post subject: kill filing Archived from groups: alt>comp>anti-virus (more info?)
Some time ago there was a post in this group about how to killfile posts
from anyone who also posts in another group such as alt.usenet.kooks. I set
that up and it worked quite well, but I recently had to reinstall Windows
after a crash and lost all mail and newsgroup rules. Could anyone remind me
how it was done please?

In the filter configuration add the following line
* aflag:XKOOK xref:*alt.usenet.kooks*
Then set your newsreader to delete anything with XKOOK in the author
header.
The official version downloadable from this website is quite old but
still works fine. There is a more up to date version knocking about on
the www somewhere where some guy has taken the reins after development
on the above version ceased.
I am currently using v1.2.4 but there's little difference from the
official v1.2.1b1

I'm using v1.2.0 and it works fine. I prefer:
* drop xref:*kooks*
These two are also very useful, catching about 95% of the trolls:

Thanks - the solution I was using previously didn't involve any other
software, but if there are no other replies I'll try your suggestion. 'm
seeing too much rubbish again in this group
