Hello

It seems that my Windows XP got infected by a unknown virus. It
generates tons of *.tmp processes, such as 858e75e2.tmp, and slow down
the system. AVG but can't detect this virus. Does any one know how to
kill the virus? Thanks a lot.

Regards
Zhen

By the way, those *.tmp processes are spawned from wuauclt.exe under
system32/dllcache/inetsrv

You are being presumptuous that it is virus.

Please submit suspicious *.TMP, DLL or EXE files to Virus Total --
http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html
The submission will then be tested against many different AV vendor's scanners.
That will give you an idea what it is and who recognizes it. In addition Virus
Total will provide the sample(s) to all participating vendors.

You can also submit a suspect, one at a time, via the following email URL...
mailto:scan@virustotal.com?subject=SCAN

When you get the report, please post back the exact results.

Thanks for your comments. Unfortunately, I've reinstalled WinXP. If I
can find the suspicious file, I'll submit them.
