Post subject: fo588c.exe running - found in %windir%temp ... what's it doing Archived from groups: alt>comp>anti-virus (more info?)
Well, as said in the subject line, the other day I found that thing
running and I had zilch idea what it was doing or how it got to run. I
submitted the file to kaspersky for scanning (http://
www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus) and it said "nothing found". But, I am
still have doubts since while it was running, I did a search and found
it in %windir%\temp and I thought "that's no proper place for a decent
program is it?!" (well if you ask me again I'd admit that's a bit too
generalizing). Later the file in %windir%\temp was gone. So, anybody
know anything about it?

First, I hope you killed the task, or at least try disabling it at
start-up. Submit it to http://www.virustotal.com where it can be
checked by numerous scans.
