I don't know, and I'm not going to try.

please don't troll for malware here... it encourages the uncontrolled
distribution of malware and that enables people to spread it maliciously...

if you must test your scanner to make sure it's operating properly, use
the eicar standard anti-malware test file...

it's generally frowned upon to post working links to malware here...

1) he was asking for it.

2) you have to perform several clicks and enter a captcha code before
the file is presented to you, so it's not likely to be downloaded by
accidently clicking on the link.

Yes Virus Guy! Consider yourself told
off by the NannyState Mind of Kurt.

You've been posting here long enough
to know that Kurt thinks he runs this
group!!! How dare you take it upon
yourself to try and go over Kurts
command and control structure. He
doesn't want anyone to know of the
dark knowledge, he alone is gatekeeper
of such secrets.

Next time think before you act, and if
in doubt consult higher authority as in
(Kurt Wismer, information gatekeeper)

It didn't sound like he was trolling.
He was making a request for a couple
of programs to test his AV program.

The files will be spread maliciously
totally independantly of this group.
This group should be in a postion to
help people to gain knowledge in the
'so called' expertese of the group.
alt.comp. "virus". It's far more
appropriate someone asks in a place
like this rather an alt.party.animal
alt.fun-and-games, alt.bedtime.reading
etc.

Yeah that's right keep a tight rein on
who and who should not progress beyond
AV 101 school, after all you are the
ACV gatekeeper aren't you?

check the archives, there is a long history of people asking for malware
in this group... that doesn't mean it's ok to give it to them...

accidental downloading isn't really what this group's mores against
malware sharing were meant to address... there is insufficient data to
determine if the person can be trusted to not do something accidental or
malicious with the malware once s/he's got it...

don't share malware with people unless you *know* you can trust both
their intentions and their competence... and don't share in public where
any moron or miscreant who happens to be reading or searching can also
get access...

Anyone that can be given a random piece of malware and put it to some
sort of coherent (and malicious) use is someone who has enough
knowledge that they wouldn't be asking for malware examples in the
first place.
