IMO, XP's fast user switching, as well as "system restore" and some of the SP2
security center features, are half baked. The problem experienced haunts quite
a few real-time AV when running under XP. The cause is the way these
applications hook the file system and their need to be exclusive when they kick
in. Users fast switching doesn't reinitialize all user dependent services and
some of these services are still assigned to the previous user when switching in
fast mode.

The fact that XP offers all sorts of features doesn't imply that you must use
them all. Wink Like a car capable of speeding to 140 MPH ... Smile
