Symantec Norton Anti-Virus -- good? bad?

::I recently installed Norton Ghost 14 which has a securituy component
on it.

This software is terrible. It caused my system to blue screen crash
data dump.

...mindump analysis with bbugcheck concluded 1A/41790: The memory map
list is corrupted.

The crash-causing process id LUCOMS~1.EXE is some questionable
antivirus thing from Symantec.

So how do I uncorrupt the memory map?

...and how do I get rid of crash-causing process id LUCOMS~1.EXE ?

Does anybody have a phone number or email address for Norton technical
support?::
