My license just ran out for NOD32. And as of this writing, I have not
renewed. It's only been a few days since it expired.
I was reading the reviews on Download.com re the latest versions of
Avast and AVG. Do you think overall they are good enough as not to
spend the extra money?

As long as you dont mind intrusive, intimidating, insulting and dishonest
popups from Avira every time you update.

You didnt mind the pop up which showed a thief in the shadows, with the text
telling us that people right now are likely to be stealing your identity,
and using your credit card to fund terrorism and child pornography?
The kind of advertising winfixer would be proud of.

Plus the download servers seem very slow, updates often fail and can
take up to twenty minutes to finish and several attempts.

It certainly does NOT bother me and I don't believe it rises to the level of 'nagware'.
