I posted several days ago on this, was told the error is within fprot,
advised to contact the author, did so, never answered.

Today, I did a complete new download of 3.14b and the latest macro def
file.
I ran, and again got a termination error message. Below is the first
screen, then the final screen when it stops.

Winkill is a executable process viewer, error message.

What is causing this?

How to fix it so the scan is completed?

look, i'll say this real slow... if f-prot is *crashing* there isn't
anything anyone can do about it except the people who make f-prot...

are you sure you contacted the appropriate folks at f-prot with your
inquiry?

I sent to the support address, got this autoresponder reply, nothing
after that:
FRISK-T-20031210-0022 (Other)
Date: Wed, 10 Dec 2003 13:54:01 +0000 (GMT)
From: FRISK Tech Support <support.TakeThisOut@f-prot.com>

Then I sent the same message to: frisk.TakeThisOut@f-prot.com

This can't be the first time this error message occurred, but still no
answers.

If I can't get a solution, may have to try AVG.

well, thos certainly look like they'd be good addresses to send to...

oh yes it can... there's got to be a first time for everything...

well, i'd be surprised if you got not response after emailing frisk,
but from a practical point of view i agree with you - if no solution is
forthcoming you should try something else...

strange, though, in all my years i've never had a problem with f-prot...

I tried from a DOS prompt in W98SE, same result. It runs fine, scans
through several folders, then terminates. It used to run fine, so
something changed that even effects a fresh install of F-Prot.

I will try from the Safe mode, see if that helps. I run a fairly
minimalist computer, nothing unusual running.
