Newbie Do I need Panda and Windows Defender?

Thanks for the advice. My reason for asking is that my laptop is really
slooow. 2 questions:
- What is a better antivirus and antispyware package (either as 1 or 2
programs). I need something which is reliable but quick.
- Do I also need Windows Defender? (I ask because it is sitting on my laptop
and I don't know much about it).
For some background, my laptop is 2 years old but I use it for simple stuff
like word processing, internet. I am very keen to have it spyware-free,
since I do my internet banking via this laptop.

If computer resource use is an issue consider trying Nod32 for anti-
virus protection.

There are cheaper solutions but no better solutions.

Do NOT run two virus programs at the same time. I use F-Secure myself. My
personal experience is not to even run any two virus or spyware programs at
the same time. Conflicts can occur.

I use free Ad aware which is not running in real time. I do a scan weekly. I
also use free spybot Search and Destroy.

Be sure to use a firewall like Comodo if you do banking.

Consider Kaspersky Internet Security (combined av and firewall). Very
low cpu usage, and about the best product out there (NOD32 is its only
real rival). Not cheap but you get what you pay for.
