Archived from groups: alt>comp>anti-virus (more info?)

Earlier today, this popped on my desktop:

http://tinyurl.com/yaax78

I have the "Messenger" service disabled and I had not opened any web pages.

No more popups since.

Can anybody offer an explanation?

Or is it likely that I'm mistaken about not having opened any web pages?

Seems to me like you've either opened some link, or you've got adware.
Use lavasoft AdAware, Spybot S&D, and superantispyware. Make sure you
have the most recent updates before scanning, and you may want to
perform these cans in safe mode first, then in normal Windoze mode.

That Pop-Up is a IE pop-Up and NOT the result of a NetBIOS Pop-Up (NT Messenger Service).
