Concerning the closing of all internet ports on Win 2K Pro:
I believe that wwdc.exe can be relied upon to do all the
registry work:
http://www.firewallleaktester.com/wwdc.htm

Then here's my list of services showing which ones I've
disabled:

I'm pretty sure that just using wwdc.exe and then manually going
in to the services settings and disabling the ones shown above
as Disabled will do the trick. You should wind up with a completely
empty netstat -an result.

Correction. That was supposed to be Win XP Pro, not
Win 2K Pro.
