Html conversion with avg free email scan?

Why is it that when I turn on my AVG ver 8 Email scan for incoming mail, all the mail I usually recieve and view in html format is converted to plain text on all such incoming mail after I turn incoming email scanning on. It shows me myriad plain text links to the picture content instead of the pictures themselves! This is an unacceptable way for me to view such email, therefore, I am forced to disable the avg free scanning of incoming email.

Yes, had the same issue. You should be able to fix this by disabling the certification message AVG leaves in incoming mail. See http://freeforum.avg.com/read.php?12,131925,131925#msg-131925
The reason this happens is probably that Outlook is set to edit messages as plain text rather than HTML, so when AVG adds the 'this email is okay' message using the default email editor, Outlook changes the message type from HTML to plain text. You could also fix this by changing the default outgoing email type from plain text to html.
