I have the morning updates and I received many 'malware' alerts (heur/html)
in my Win98se Windows\Help folder (I dual boot (98se and 2000pro) and I run
Avira in Win2000pro. This must have something to do with the later updates.
Such files as Windows\Help\ camera.chm,
dcomcfg.chm,dijoy.chm,mdsc.chm,plus.chm and rnaap.chm.
It also tagged some cab files in my Win98 copy : Win98_26.cab and 27.cab and
28.cab aqnd PreCopy2,cab.
Anyone else having this problem?
PS: I also checked them with MBAM,SAS, and NSW2003 with no hits.
There were a couple of other hits also which were false 'positives'.

Instead of check with ourther scanners, submit the suspect files to Virus Total.
However, if you think these are safe files, exclude them in AntiVir.

Thanks, I have excluded them. I was just wondering if anyone else was having
the same or similar problem.

Good tip!

I run Avira Premium on my server and Notebook, I also find Avira likes to pick
on a lot of un-infected files, that ok, better safe than sorry. Just check
them then add them to Avira excluded list, it has a excluded list for Guard,
WebGurd and it's POP/SMPT (MailGuard) scanner.
