It is NOT an anti vurus application. It is Dr. Web's removal tool.
It is trustworthy IFF it is obtained directly from Dr. Web.

Well, I expect to be one in that category!!!!!
My idea is to load CureIt in a pendrive to help some friends that
aren't computer users with common sense.

Surely. But after the disaster, I will be able to check the computer
without to have the danger of using an outdated antivirus already
installed (and maybe infected too).

| Yes, it is. It is an on demand scanner. Granted, you have to manually
| download the newest version every time there are updated virus
| signatures added, but it will completely scan your hard drive and
| detect/remove any viruses that it finds. By definition it is an
| anti-virus. It's just not a wise anti-virus solution for the
| not_so_computer_saavy.
|
To be an application it would need an installer and perform "On Demand" and "On Access"
scanning.
A utility runs "On Demand" scans.
I know, I wrote the Multi AV Scanning Tool. It is not an application, it is a utility.
