Looks like Dave hogged it to himself.

I expect you've had this email from someone, eh? Made me laugh, anyway - so
just in case you haven't seen it (and to further it's dissemination!):

<snip>

A driver is stuck in a traffic jam on the motorway. Nothing is moving.
Suddenly a man knocks on the window.

The driver rolls down his window and asks, 'What's going on?'

'Terrorists down the road have kidnapped Gordon Brown, Alistair Darling,
David Miliband and Jack Straw.

They're asking for a £10 million ransom.

Otherwise they're going to douse them with petrol and set them on fire.

We're going from car to car, taking up a collection.'

The driver asks, 'How much is everyone giving, on average?'

'Most people are giving about a gallon.'

</snip>

It's funny because it's true!

<lol> Yes that is funny and no I hadn't seen that one before, there's no
saying you'll even see my answer to you here if not I'll either give you a
ring or email you.
I'm waiting for my new machine to arrive Vista Home Premium <g>

No, I *can* see this one Joan! Maybe *I'll* be the only one who does this
time.

My sister's machine - running ME, from Summer 2000 - gave up the ghost this
Spring. So she got an Acer for £300 (certainly pretty - but I like blue LEDs
so I'm biased), also running Vista Premium. Of course, I said it was awful
<vbg> as did her IT manager at work, but he also said their citrix software
didn't work in Vista and she needs to be able to get in from home - so I
gave her that ol' XP Home Edition I once offered Harry just for the price of
postage. I went to her place - having salvaged her hard drive that hadn't
been backed up (natch) - fitted the old drive, made a restore DVD set of
Vista then wiped it (not the DVD set, of course), copied her data to the new
disk, installed Vista to the old one and XP to the new one. The processor is
an Intel dual core and while she doesn't have a video card, the 2G RAM is
easily enough to run Aero Glass (though she never boots Vista).

I imagine you'll be getting a similar deal (less the brother giving you a
retail XP disc then setting the whole kaboodle up for free part)?

Anyway Joan, if you need any advice, such as how to turn off all the nags...

While to auto logon, click the Start Menu and type netplwiz and take it from
there.

It's Johns machine that has given up the ghost my WinME is still going
strong and he's using that at the moment until I get the new machine then
he's having this one <g>
Funny but my posts seem to be arriving now so I don't know what happened to
the missing one, oh well stranger things happen at sea <lol>

Did you see Mock The Week this week where Frankie Boyle says Gordon Brown
looks like 'a sad face, drawn on a scrotum'?

I reckon I nearly had a heart attack.
