Post subject: Is it BitDefender free now? Where can I download it? Archived from groups: alt>comp>anti-virus (more info?)
Dear friends:
I am looking for an additional, non resident and free Antivirus, in
order to have a "second opinion" on my computer.
Is it BitDefender free now? Where can I download it?
I searched on theirs Web site, but I couldn't find a link to download
the free version.
Any hint?
Thanks

If I install this free V8 of Bitdefender, will I be putting it into conflict
of my AVG free V7.5? [since it is an on-demand type]

Post subject: Conflicting AV softwares [Login to view extended thread Info.]
There are 90% of chances of conflicts between the different AV softwares.. Hence its advisable to Completely uninstall any security software before installing the new one.
However, AVG is smart enough to remove all other AV softwares before it installs itself..
