How do I setup BitDefender as an on demand only scanner. I don't have it
configured for startup with system start. When I close it, the bdss.exe
[24mb] is still resident as a process.

I thought the free version [8.0] did not include resident protection.

Free BitDefender 8 does not provide "On Access" scanning. It does load files into the OS to
make removal of malware easier as well as perform scheduled downloads or "On Demand" scans.

tried that, [I use Regcleaner 4.3], If you offload the mail resident file,
then you can't run on demand with BitDefender. I uninstalled it. I think
its better, but it didn't find anything AVG didn't find.
