Anyone else having all these AVG marketing popups with AVG8free. I disabled
linkscanner because every time I put the cursor on a link in IE it popped up
a marketing window over half the screen.

I don't get any pop-ups with AVG8free. However, I only use Firefox, and
have the pop-up enabled. Maybe you should give that a try?

Same here, but if you don't want to switch browsers there should be a
pop-up blocker for IE. Haven't used IE for a long time now.

Pop up blocker is turned on. I used the wrong term for the message. They are
hover help type of popups with marketing info to upgrade AVG. It isn't
happening on my laptop so I need to do some searching of some settings...

If your speaking of the one at the bottom of the AVG Security components
page, I think that is going to be there forever if you don't "Download Now,
to Enhance your Protection". There is a tab to "Hide notification", just
use that if this is what your talking about. You know when something is
free, you really have no complaints over a small dropdown.
