I just added a video clip to a webpage using FP2003. It works fine using
Internet Explorer - but not with FireFox. Is this a firm restriction? Any
way around it?

How did you add the media clip (provide the code from code view)
- You should create it with a cross browser compatible <object> tag
You could download the FP WMP Addin which will generate the code for you
See http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=98a35ced-f950...d8-8e96

I downloaded the WMP addin from the link you provided to me on 8/21/08 under
subject 'video clip' (same link as below). Is this 'cross browser'
compatible? The code generated can be seen here:

That won't work on any browser
You have the movie file pointing to a file on your hard drive at
C:\My Documents\valiantweb\badcommute.wmv
Make sure you open a FP Web site (not just a page)
- and File Import your media file (badcommute.wmv) into the FP web
- then add it to the page and publish the site (so the media file gets uploaded to your server)

Are you sure about your answer? I have sent this link to many friends to
test. It works fine for everyone that uses IE as a browser; it doesn't work
for those using Firefox. It works on my computer (even after I removed the
local 'badcommute.wmv' file to make sure it wasn't being accessed from IE).

Did you try it using IE? If not, would you?

http://valiantmusic.com/test.htm

p.s. In your answer, you specified that I use File / Import; is this
important? Won't copy (from local file) / paste (into local web) work as
well?
