I am using Visio 2003 and acrobat 6.0

The text with rotation in visio was not converted correctly to the pdf file.

It is not recognized as text in pdf file and resolution is bad.

Had similar problems with Vision 2000 and 2002; rotated text only.

For whatever reason, lowering the output picture resolution to (300, 600
dpi) and no font embedding solved it on WinXP.

Windows 2000 Pro, however (which my client was using), never solved it. I
downloaded/installed CutePDF and had the Windows 2000 Pro users print to
that from Visio. That worked.

Again, it was rotated text only. We are using the horizontal function bands
in landscape mode. My trials showed any rotated text was effected, no matter
if it was in the functional shapes or hand-rotated.

I don't know squat about PDF, but I do know that the SVG export of Visio
diagrams in Visio 2003 treats rotated text as actual, real-live text.

Perhaps there is a Visio --> SVG --> PDF route available to you if the other
stuff doesn't work.

Hope this helps,
