Don't think you can do a backslash, unless maybe you create an image of
backslashes with transparency and put it over the word. You can draw a line
though; same thing put it over the word.

amended after reading JoAnn's reply...skip the image thing I mentioned just
create a second textbox with backslashes and lay it over your word...set
text wrapping to: none.

You draw a line, lay it over the work you want crossed out and I would
suggest grouping the text box and line in case you move that box. If you
change the size of the box, you'll have to manually move the line.
