Post subject: problem with visio viewer Archived from groups: microsoft>public>visio>general (more info?)
I am having an issue with visio viewer. Whenever i try to open a visio
drawing, all I get is a red X in the upper left corner. This happens with
both the 2003 and 2007 viewer. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling
both of them. I have upgraded to IE8 and then uninstalling and reinstalling
them. I have tried disabling all add-ins in IE and still I get a red X.

Sorry, I found the answer in an earlier post. Needed to remove KB973525.
After doing this, I was able to open visio drawings again.
