Will not print half of document

If I drop a LINE onto a blank page-- position it at 5.5
(half way down on the page) of a 8.5 x 11 drawing. And
print to my new HP PSC 2410 Photosmart Printer - The Line
will be at the top of the printed page and only the
bottom half of the page prints.

I have tried various page setting -- nothing seems to
change the printing problem.

All other applications print fine. If I save to JPG and
print -- it will print.

I did change the print quality to BEST (as suggested in
an email -- I sould of read first Smile

) The Line
printed midway on the page.
