Archived from groups: microsoft>public>visio>troubleshoot (more info?)

I have created a Space Plan by taking the input date from an EXCEL Sheet by
importing it to VISIO.But then by changing some value in EXCEL the VISIO is
automatically takes care of the changes by clicking "Refresh Data" button
under Plan tab.
Now if I need to put the VISIO file and the EXCEL to some other location
then I could see the links between VISIO and EXCEL are breaking. Then if I
click the "Refresh Data" button the VISIO is then importing all the data from
EXCEL to the Unplaced data tab and there is no relation with the already
drawn diagram.
It would be of great help if you could tell me how to recreate the link
between VISIO and EXCEL.

I haven't tried this personally, but the link is stored in an xml file which
may be editable. The process uses an office data connection (an .odc file).
