So I decided to try another booklet and it does look like the formatting
was wrong to begin with. I did it the same way both times. Does it
have something to do with the printer, meaning my printer here. The box
shows it is my laser printer.
Now I'm trying to copy and paste it into new pages. yuck.

You might consider using the MS Publisher Image Setter printer or the Generic
Color PS for Commercial Printing. These can be installed from the Printer
Folder. Scroll down to the generic printers.

Thanks for writing, Mary. I went to the printer, he had his guy bring
up the file on his "MAC". <G> Then he found that it was set up as a 8
X 10...and for the life of me, when doing a booklet, and it shows 5.5 X
8.5....I don't know where the 8 X 10 came from nor could they. I'll ask
them about the printer you suggested just for my information. Thanks.
Anyway, I left the file with them, they will do a .pdf on each page and
change it. Yes, I will have to pay for his time but he said it should
only take 20 minutes. 77 pages? Ummmmmmm. He must be a Superman!
Stay tuned. AnnE

While playing around with starting a new booklet, I find that the new
one has a huge border around the pages. I need more space to get my
book printed. In order for me to get mostly the same info into the
book, I have to reduce the font waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down. Why does there
have to be such a larger border around each page?
thanks for your help. AnnE in MN

You don't have to use the default margin (It is the margin, not a border,
right?) Arrange, Layout guides.

That's IT. Arrange, Layout guides. Go figure.
Why didn't I ask you about this before??? <G> Sheesh, I have now messed
around with my practice booklet and voila, you have made me just a tad
smarter with your explanation. Thank YOU! I love learning but I've
been shaking my head at this MS Publisher program for months now. Thank
goodness for this newsgroup. My printer tells me that I'm not alone in
trying to figure this out and I've told him that it's a good thing that
this newsgroup exists AND with people like you, Mary. You provide very
valuable insight to the use of this program.
