If I change an underlying table field property, I find I have to delete the
corresponding form text box and then replace it from the field list to have
the changes propergated.

Is this normal and god what a nightmare.

Thanks in advance.

Doesn't appear to be in v2003. Data in the converted field that doesn't meet
the datatype criteria will be deleted, but you shouldn't have to change
anything at the form level, I wouldn't think. In the original control on your
form, do you have anything set in an Input Mask, Format or Default Value that
might conflict with the new definition of the underlying field? Exactly what
kind of field are we talking about and what property did you change?

Sounds about right. How often do you need to do this?
