Send button --WEBBOT SELF--

None of this had what I am looking for. I have a form page that should email
directly to me. It is not working. I have called my web host and they have
it set up with my email. I also set the submit button to my email. But it
still doesn't work. It is suppose to display a page that says something like
"Thank you...your email has been sent" but it doesn't. The address it goes
to is http://www.chrishatchcpa.com/index_files/--WEBBOT-SELF--
and the text says...
Page Not Found

I have done everything I know to do and my web host is telling me its a

Actually, the first link had the information you need.

To use a Publisher form you must do two things:

* use a FPSE enabled web host account
* publish the Publisher web using HTTP

The --WEBBOT SELF-- is a direction to the FrontPage Server Extensions
(FPSE) to handle the form processing. Since the server is returning
"Page not found", it means that FPSE is not installed or is not properly
configured. Or possibly that you didn't publish the web over HTTP.

I was in NO way trying to bash Publisher webs. I have loved working with
Publisher. The only problem I've had with it was getting the form page
working. I will check out the first link again because I didn't see the
answer the first time I looked at it.

I will also call my web host and see if they use a FPSE enabled web. If
not, I'll be changing hosts. Do you have any recommendations about web hosts
who are familiar with a Publisher web design. I think that may be part of my
problem. My host was not thrilled about me using Publisher in the first
place.

I'm very unsure about how to publish using HTTP but hope the link will tell
me step by step how to do it. Thanks for your responses.

David was replying to my post, and my tendency to point out Publisher's
web features' drawbacks and failings every time I mention them.
