Hello, all. We have reverse-engineered our database to create a diagram.
However, it's too big to print on 8.5 x 11. When we choose File > Page Setup
  > Print Setup and say Landscape and Fit to 1 by 1, it gets too small and
leaves a lot of white space around the diagram. If we try Page Size and say
"Same as printer size," the diagram get huge and the paper getsto the
correct size. If we try to then select the entire diagram and resize, it
gives the error: "Shape protection and/or layer properties prevent complete
execution of this command." It won't resize; it just moves the diagram.

Any thoughts on how to do this? Thanks.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

I tried changing the drawing scale to 1:4 for DB drawings but they are "too
smart" and compensate for the scale change.

Another idea that will work, but involves a bit of manual laber:

- Select the whole drawing and copy (Ctrl+C)
- Open a new blank drawing
- Edit > Paste Special > Enhanced metafile
- Resize to fit page and print

By copying and pasting as a metafile, you are creating a "dumb graphic" of
the entire schematic, which will stretch and squish like any piece of
clipart -- which is what you need in this case.

Hope this helps,
