When I add a line using the Dynamic connector the arrow at the end of the
line disappears when I place it on my flow. Is there a setting that controls
this? I can see the arrow when I click on the dynamic connector but then it
disappears when I add it to the page.

Pam
After you place the connector on the page select it then right mouse click,
this should present you with a menu. Locate format then line, this will
display the line option menu. Under Line Ends locate End size; there are
options to change the end size for the connector.

I'm having the same problem as Pam, but the solution James wrote does not fix
this problem- it is just a time consuming work-around.

The problem is that the arrows automatically become lines when they are
placed on my laptop, although this does not happen on my coworker's laptop.
On their laptop, when you drag an arrow connector to the template it remains
an arrow and does not automatically change into a line.

I had the same problem. After selecting it, it has the arrow head, and
then when I drop it, it disapears. I think I used the following to fix
it. Go to "Format", then "Define Style" and select "Connector". Click
on "Line" and then fix the arrows.
