Tried to add a few simple toolbar items - the work, but when I exit and
reopne Visio-2007 (vith vista), they are no longer there. Attaching to

Larry,
A few question come to mind. How are you attaching these toolbar items to
the menu (vba document opened event, a .net add-in that you wrote tied to a
marker event in a template, etc.)? What mechanism are you using to ensure
their persistence?

all I'm doing is right clicking in the existing toolbar area, selecting
customize, and then dragging a few extra buttons to the existing toolbars.
They work fine, but when I shut down and reopen visio, they are gone,

Do you have Adobe Acrobat installed? If so try updating to a newer version.
Several users have reported that Acrobat 6 resets toolbar customizations.

Hello Larry,

In addition to Mark's point, I've got a couple of questions for you.

Are you saying that 'none' of your custom buttons remain or just some of
them disappearing?

Also have you tried creating a new toolbar and adding buttons to that? Are
changes made in this way persisted across sessions or are they also lost?

Best regards

John
