Post subject: Text garbled when printing
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>visio>printing (more info?)

I have mapped my company's existing web site with Visio
Professional 2003. The document turned out just fine. I
can read everything. However, when I send it to the
printer, all the text gets garbled. There are places
where two or three letters are printed on top of each
other and in those areas where only a single letter is
being printed, the word which is created is nonsense.
There is not a single word on the printed page which
makes any sense. Any assistance would be most appreciated.

I was able to fix the gibberish by opening printer
properties and selecting "Always send to printer" for
TrueType fonts. This was for a Xerox MFD, but I suppose
there's something similar for other printers.
