Archived from groups: microsoft>public>visio>general (more info?)

Just been getting to grips with things and then I started a new building
plan and came to drag in a staircase and it became too large and wouldn't
resize - it just flew off the screen. Doors seem okay.

Did you change the Drawing Scale at any point from the default settings?
When the floor plan solution (US) opens the default scale is Architectural ¼
“= 1’0”. If you are using the stair shapes from the Floor Plan solution these
shapes do not have protection on by default. If you are using shapes outside
of Visio they could have protection on some of its attributes. You can check
the shape by selecting it, then right mouse click; this should bring up a
menu, select format then protection. Review the menu and see if any of the
boxes have been selected. Note even with the stair shapes included with Visio
you can only resize them so much.
