Post subject: Problems with photogallery - FP extension 2003 Archived from groups: microsoft>public>frontpage>programming (more info?)
Hello,
I have a web site that uses frontpage extensions 2003. When I add a
photogallery it seems to work fine from within frontpage. However when I
publish my site (to a web site on my local system or to a remote web site)
all I get when I go to the photogallery page is a single line of text giving
the url to real.htm.
[/photogallery/photo00021505/real.htm]
Anyone have any ideas on what the problem could be?

Hi Bill,
Many FP experts advise against using the built-in photogallery from FP.
I have 2 sites with galleries.
1. My personal site is one where I set up the photogallery myself, but I
haven't used it in a long time and I think it needs some maintenance, so I
won't give you a link.
2. The other http://trevorl.mvps.org/ratec/ is one that I set up with
JAlbum. I am quite happy with JAlbum, although I think the larger photos
may be too small - clearly I chose this size, so again I need to look into
why
Anyway, before I suggest anything, would you post a link to the remote site,
please.

I'm not sure how, but I did get it to work on my remote site... Still won't
work on my local system. I don't think I will use the FP photogallery. I
will look into other options.
Thanks for your help.
