I need to be able to print a Visio document on a machine that doesn't have
Visio (or a Visio viewer) installed. I know one way of doing it is
converting to a PDF but I'd like to do it without having to install anything
on the machine.
One way I am considering is the 'Print to File' option. I would use 'Print
to File' on the Visio machine, copy the file to the non-Visio machine and
then just print the file. Will this work if both machines have their own
printer which are both the same model?

Hi Chris,
How about saving the Visio drawing to a GIF or JPG file format? Select Save
As.. from the Visio File menu and look in the Save as Type field in the
dialog box for the graphic type.
Another option, if you are using Visio 2003 and the non-Visio machine does
have Office 2003 installed on it, is to Print to the Microsoft Office
Document Image Writer Format. The Microsoft Office Document Image Writer is
a virtual printer driver that is installed with Office 2003. To verify that
it is installed on the non-Visio machine, select Start | Printers and Faxes.
I hope this helps.
