We are looking to convert from a Unix system to Windows. The Unix system has
PTC's CADDS 5 on it and I believe saves the files as .cgm. We want to
convert the programs to use Visio. I was wondering if this was an easy
conversion and some pointers on how to do this successfully. They only do 2D
drawings is it possible we can get off CADDS 5 and still edit the drawings in
Visio?

TIA

If you use 1% of CADDS abilities then you may find Visio up to the
task. They are very different types of drawing software, CADDS may
cost over 100x the price of Visio so that should give you some idea.
