At MIX the Expression Team stated that new versions were on a 14-18 month
release cycle (which is approximately the same release cycle as
Dreamweaver). Since v2 was released in June of this year I doubt that there
is another version due out in the near future.

What do you think? You have read his posts.... and other mvp's .... bearing
in mind why mvp's are made mvp's and the general weirdness of 99% of
his/her posts that should answer the question.
For the record ... the small amount of sales of my tips ebooks keep me in
domains (price less than that of a domain from namecheap) ... are not
generated through the forums or newsgroups as I don't post that often in
them ....and I have as much RIGHT to put whatever I want in my sig lines as
Senn or anyone else.
and come to think of it ... even if such a statement were in reality true
(it's not btw) what the hell would that matter? Mvp's answer questions to
help people they don't get paid.. and many go above and beyond....
can you hear me grinding my teeth?

Does that mean it isn't selling any better than Office 2007, and folks are just
sticking with the tried and true?

I don't know about the States but over here Office 2007 sells pretty
well. After all it has several must have features in Word, Excel and
Powerpoint for the Companies here.
OOXML The State decided to standardize on ODF and OOXML. All public
offices must support both.
Possibility of many more Rows and Columns in Excel plus better
charting.

I think Massachusettes was the only state to mandate open standards for their public
documents. Hope it catches on, though. As I understand the market, which
admittedly I'm far from right on top of, Office 2007 is still a very small segment
of the overall office suite market. Maybe 10-15% tops?

That would've done it for me, had they not destroyed the UI at the same time!
That's an improvement I've been waiting for ever since moving from DOS (where I had
it) to Windows.
